Summary Industry Visit to Iruna E-Logistics Jakarta



Me and my college friends in Institute of Transportation and Logistics Trisakti just visited Fulfillment Center Iruna e-Logistics on Monday 19th 2018.
We came there in the morning by bus, the fulfillment center located in Sunter, North Jakarta

Iruna eLogistics is Indonesia's first e-Logistics company, providing an integrated back-end solution platform for trading transactions that is expected to drive the e-commerce industry even better.

Iruna Logistics provides digital-based logistics service solutions that integrate with business sites owned by business actors, equipped with mangement inventory panel application to fulfillment center that can be accessed in real time and online.

Firstly, before we came in to the warehouse, the security will be checking the IMEI Phone Number not just for the visitors, but also for the employee,  and then the security will doing the body checking to the visitors and the employee before we come in to the warehouse.

Approximately about 1-2 hours we walked around the warehouse to learn the warehouse flow process in iruna e-Logistics Fulfillment Center. We learned about Inbound - Quality Control In - Inventory Area - Quality Control Out - Quarantine Area - High Value Area - Outbound.

The first interest things for me in Iruna's that they have some private and exclusive place and spaces to store the goods, it is called High Value Area. The customers can store their goods on that place only by request.
The High Value Area is always monitored by very much cctv in every corner and closed with the iron doors.

The another interest things for me in Iruna's that they has a room for the "Photo Studio" in their warehouse.
It means that every customer who needs help to have a good and interesting picture of their products will be overcome. And sales can also increase because the product photos are very interesting.

Iruna also provides various logistics solutions ranging from fulfillment management such as inbound and outbound process of goods and return management, timely and real time delivery process through data interface to integration with market place and online store.

With a single register on the system, sellers can be directly registered to all online stores or selected online stores.  Services that will be obtained by the seller include the taking and packing of goods, product photos, and marketing on marketplace which become the business partner of iruna for front end.

Iruna provides a warehouse with an area of ​​about 3.000 to 10.000 m2 in several big cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Medan, Palembang, Balikpapan, Makassar, Manado and Ambon. The warehouse is used to store stock items and send them to buyers.

And at the end of the Industrial Visitation session at Iruna E-Logistics, the company announces people who have good questions throughout the Industrial Visit and give a gift. Luckily, I was one of those who got the gifts.

Last but not least, I would like to say thank you to Iruna E-Logistics for the lessons and experiences that I had during my visit. I hope that next year i can be one part of them as a Internship Student.

Apa Itu Green Logistics ?
Green Logistics adalah konsep logistik mulai dari proses pengolahan barang hingga konsumen dapat menggunakan barang tersebut, dengan penekanan tidak merusak lingkungan dan menggunakan sebanyak mungkin bahan mentah yang ramah lingkungan.

Permasalahan lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh logistics:
1.             162 miliar ton emisi truk di Eropa
2.             Ketersediaan dan harga bahan bakar
3.             253 juta ton kemasan digunakan setiap tahun di industri konsumen (setengah kertas dan setengah plastik)
4.             Produksi kertas membutuhkan 7 juta pohon untuk ditebang.

Transportasi
Transportasi merupakan aktifitas logistik yang berdampak tinggi terhadap lingkungan.
Praktik utama Green Logistics dalam transportasi adalah :
1.             Efisiensi bahan bakar pada kendaraan akan menghasilkan kelestarian lingkungan yang lebih baik
2.             Pemilihan moda (rail versus truck)
3.             Rekondisi dan penggunaan kembali pallets dan containers
4.             Konsolidasi barang
5.             Optimalisasi beban

Pergudangan
Praktik utama Green Logistics dalam Pergudangan adalah :
1.             Rekondisi dan penggunaan kembali pallets dan containers
2.             Penggunaan Sistem Pergudangan Otomatis
3.             Meminimalisasi Persediaan
4.             Daur ulang di tempat
5.             Disposisi Produk
6.             Pembangkit listrik yang mengurangi panas

Layanan Nilai Tambah
Praktik utama Green Logistics yang ditemukan adalah:
1.             Palet dan wadah penyatuan
2.             Teknologi kemasan ramah lingkungan
3.             Pelacakan dan penelusuran
4.             Gunakan bahan yang bisa dikurangi, digunakan kembali, dan didaur ulang!

Reverse Logistics
Reverse logistics juga merupakan salah satu bagian penting dari Green logistics. Yang berarti bahwa apakah barang bisa dikurangi, digunakan kembali, dan daur ulang.


Rekomendasi penerapan Green Logistics bagi Industri Logistik:
1.             Penerapan eco-driving.
2.             Penerapan strategi, teknik, dan operasional logistik yang efisien.
3.             Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk mendukung operasional logistik.


Rekomendasi penerapan Green Logistics bagi Pemerintah:
1.             Peningkatan kualitas bahan bakar.
2.             Peningkatan jumlah fasilitas pengisian bahan bakar ramah lingkungan.
3.             Pemberian insentif bagi penyedia jasa logistik yang menerapkan green logistics.


Contoh penerapan Green Logistics adalah :
1.             Pengurangan konsumsi bahan bakar.
2.             Penggunaan moda transportasi yang menimbulkan polusi udara dan suara yang rendah.
3.             Kerjasama dengan konsumen dan masyarakat dalam menghasilkan ide-ide baru untuk green logistics.


Kesimpulan:
            Menyebarkan kesadaran tentang mempertimbangkan lingkungan
             Hemat biaya dengan menggunakan teknik ramah lingkungan
             Berpikir tentang generasi mendatang
             Mereka akan tinggal di Planet Bumi yang sama
